Aswan is one of the sunniest and driest cities in the world, with almost zero rainfall year-round. Summer is extremely hot, often over 42°C. The ideal months are October to April, when temperatures sit between 22°C and 30°C — a perfect balance of warm sunshine and comfortable walking weather. December and January are peak season and the best time for Abu Simbel and Philae.
